Holy Golf
Summer 2009 marked the 30th anniversary of St. Mary's "Holy
Golf."The name was given to the St. Mary's golf group by former rector,
the Rev. Russell Johnson.The summer schedule has us meet at 6:30every
Tuesday evening, June through August, and the second Tuesday of each
month the rest of the year.Dates and hosts are published monthly in

The format offers several golf options to see which ones draw a group from week to week. The group includes not only current St. Mary's members, but also some former members and friends of members.Those with more flexible schedules start at about 2PM and play 18 holes at the University of Minnesota Golf Course on Larpenteur Ave in St. Paul.Working folks can start a 9-hole round at the UM course at about 5PM and join the dinner a bit late. There is another group, of women usually, who play at about 5PM at Cedarholm.
ALL are welcome to dinner, which gathers at 6:30 - you don't even have to pretend that you like or know anything about golf to come to dinner!!There are MANY more eaters than golfers.Attendees vary from 12 to 25 each week.Please call the host a few days before to let them know you are coming for dinner.
