MN Foodshare Drive
Each March, Minnesota FoodShare, a program of the Greater Minneapolis Council of Churches, organizes Minnesota's largest food drive for the hungry.
Thousands of corporations, congregations, civic groups and individuals raise millions of pounds of food and millions of dollars to feed families who need help. Last year our donations went to both the Department of Indian Work Food Shelf and St Philip's. St Philip's is an Episcopal congregation in Frogtown which has run a foodshelf for many years. This year, they have sold their building and will be merging with another congregation, so the foodshelf won't be open. The hope is that it will re-open once a new site for the combined churches is found.
