Ski Trip
Every
Martin Luther King weekend a bunch of adults and our priest, LeeAnne,
take 20+ kids all the way to Ironwood Michigan for a long
weekend of romping in the snow.
Yes, many ski, but a fair number also stay cozy warm, playing cards or Risk or Taboo or some such games. We usually take a night-time sleigh ride in the woods and sing songs around a bonfire before having warm cocoa in the lodge. When it is too cold, we retreat to do some Cosmic Bowling (that's in black light so your teeth look like the glow in the dark!).
And no ski trip is complete without the annual pilgrimage to the Dollar Store!
We rent a couple of houses, make our own meals, and spend a portion of each day in worship. It
definately is a fun trip, but it is more than that - it is a time to grow deeper into our relationship with God and with each other.
Anyone 7 - 12 grade
