Youth Blasts
Even though it seems in theory that 9am Sunday mornings is a good time for Sunday School, for teenagers it's just not. Many stay home catching much needed beauty sleep, and the ones who don't, wish they were.
So, for the second year in a row, we are holding Youth Blasts on a smattering of Sunday afternoons throughout the year. In this 3 1/2 hour block of time the Rev. LeeAnne Watkins, Sarah Ann Weaver, and Laura-Lee Farrell can engage young people in more in-depth conversations about all things spiritual.
This year the subjects range from theological questions the youth themselves drummed up, questions about heaven or the bible or prayer. We'll talk about the peculiarities of being Episcopalian, especially around us getting a new bishop this year.
This year's dates are September 20, October 11, November 8, February 21, and March 21. We begin with lunch at 11:30, and go until 3pm.
All 7-12 grade youth and their friends are welcome!
